An election by ballot according to the Election Rules will be held if a request in writing to that effect, signed by ten local government electors for the electoral area, is delivered to The Chief Executive, Broadland District Council, Thorpe Lodge, 1 Yarmouth Road, Thorpe St. Andrew, Norwich, NR7 ODU not later than 6 August 2020
If an election is requested a poll cannot take place until 6 May 2021 as a result of the Local Government and Police and Crime Commissioner (Coronavirus) (Postponement of Elections and Referendums) (England and Wales) Regulations 2020 and the Coronavirus Act 2020.
If an election is not requested, the Parish Council will fill this vacancy by co-option

Hemblington is a small parish close to Norwich in the district of Broadland and the county of Norfolk. It consists of the villages of Pedham, Hemblington and part of Cuttons Corner.
