Friends of All Saints Church, Hemblington
Friday, 20th February from 10 am – 12 noon – all invited to come along and help be part of a churchyard working party! Before the birds start nesting, we can trim the tops of the hedges, cut back brambles, and generally get the churchyard ready for spring. Please bring any gardening equipment you are happy to use, e.g. loppers and secateurs, as well as good thick gardening gloves and stout footwear. Refreshments will be there – hope you will be too! All Saints Church, Church Lane, off Hemblington Hall Road, Hemblington NR13 4EF. Queries to: hemblington@gmail.com / (01603) 715804.
It’s time to get your music albums and books out – David Bryant is going to test you on your knowledge of all things musical with another of his popular Music Quizzes ! Friday evening, 6th March, at Heathlands Community Centre, Woodbastwick Road, Blofield Heath. It’s always a fun evening, with live guitar solos as well as dingbats and much else. The Heathlands bar is open, serving drinks at Club prices. Please organise your tickets early, so we know it can go ahead without worrying. Tables of up to 6 people at £5 per person. If you don’t raise a full team, we can seat you with others. Please contact Sue at: hemblington@gmail.com / (01603) 714804 or Linda at: linda_bryant7@hotmail.com / (01603) 715933.
Please also think about becoming a Friend of the church. The group helps to keep the building watertight and in good condition plus supports the work in keeping the churchyard as a wildlife haven. Whether you visit the churchyard to remember family or friends, enjoy the peacefulness of the church and churchyard, or are fascinated by the wall painting and other pre-Reformation architecture, we would welcome your support. Please contact the secretary by email: hemblington@gmail.com / phone: (01603) 715804. Membership is just £10 per year and would mean a lot to the whole team.
